Davide Ianni was born in Rieti, Italy and began his musical career as guitar player - classical, rock, jazz, free-improvisation. In 1998 Ianni enrolled in Berklee College of Music, where he obtained his Bachelor Degrees with Magna Cum Laude distinction, dual major in Music Composition and Film Scoring in 2001 Back in Italy he studied conducting with Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana (Siena, Italy) and arranging at the Conservatorio Doninzetti (Bergamo, Italy). In the summer of 2003 Ianni worked as assistant conductor for the Opera Fiesole summer season.
